... running, running with Musti

So, here are some photos taken by my little brother Tuukka (except the first one). I´m so pleased with my brand new old shoes I found after a long and painful search at Weekday. They´re a little bit Gothic, but otherwise practically perfect - so 90s!
Oh, and let me introduce Musti (could be translated into Blackie), our shaggy but adorable dog. Well, not adorable really, quite irritating in fact. But I love her anyway.

... ballads for October

I think I have talked the subject into pieces already, but I have to open just one more perspective to the fall: what does the time of old leaves and wind and exhaustion sound like? For me, it sounds both like little drops against a tin roof and certain ballads by certain people. Here are some examples.

I know the first one is in Finnish, but I believe it would sound good to me even if I couldn´t understand a word. And I know it is rather depressive to listen to these. Depressive, but releasing.

... someone´s clever catch: it´s not about the destination...

... but the journey itself! Or at least by train, to Helsinki.
I keep asking of myself: why am I always heading toward Helsinki? I live in Vesivehmaa, which means I have to spend an hour and a half, first in bus and then in train, to get there. Still I do it every weekend. Why for heaven´s sake?
The truth is, that there is just something about Helsinki. I don´t know why, but I get a certain funny feeling when the train arrives to the central railway station - when I see all the people hurrying to trains or to the metro station. There is just so much to observe: expressions, gestures, hairstyles, clothes... it always makes me little dizzy, in a good way. I guess I would go crazy in some actually big city like New Yourk, where the central areas are really crowded - Helsinki is of course nothing to be compared with that.

Welcome back, crappy quality! I missed you. The picture still has a nice twist, in a way

My friend Kaisla travelled with me.

It is a park. Unfortunately it is not Piripuisto, although it lies in Kallio, too.

The most beatiful part of the most beautiful capital of the most beautiful country: Kallio <3
And my opinion is quite neutral...

Just look at it! So plain, so grey, yet so beautiful!

... the fall, simply

Here are random pictures I had to took to make some abstract thoughts about autumn to materialize.

... autumn leaves

So, finally some really beautiful photos (meaning quality - the model leaves a lot to be desired), thanks to my mother and her million-euro-camera, which is well worth of its price ;) Remember to enjoy the magnificent colors of the fall!

... the last verdant moments of Helsinki

The building showing in this picture is Kiasma, the museum of contemporary art

These photos were taken in front of the Helsinki music centre, in one of the last summery, nearly hot days of August.
An (almost) lonely biker of the picture above somehow makes me feel little sad. It´s feels as if the cyclist was on her way to somewhere no one else would ever visit - a still blooming meadow on the most remote countryside perhaps... To come to think of it, it is rather a silly idea - where would she go in the centre of Helsinki?
And still, it fascinates me.

This picture I actually like a lot :)

... and finally a whiff of fall (have to admit it - summer IS over)
